Preparing for a new floor

Hero Flooring installers will need to carefully inspect your subfloor to ensure it's in good condition as well measure of your space. We will look  for any visible damage, moisture issues, or uneven areas. This can be done during your free quote. 

 If you have old tiles, carpet, or any other type of flooring, it's best to remove them for a smoother and more stable base for your new floor. This ensures a level and even surface.  A common option is to install flooring directly over tiles, provided they are in sound condition. This can be done during your free quote. 

 If your subfloor is not level, Hero Flooring installers can assist in providing a self-leveling  compound or another leveling method. An uneven subfloor can cause issues  with the installation and longevity of your floor.

Ensure all furniture, appliances, and potential obstructions are cleared  from the rooms. Doing so not only provides Hero Flooring installers  with an unobstructed workspace for a safer and more efficient  installation but also be aware that the removal of furniture might lead  to additional costs. 

Sweep, vacuum, and clean your subfloor thoroughly. Any dirt or debris can cause unevenness or lead to problems down the road.

Moisture and leaks can lead to mold and can also warp and distort your floors, compromising their appearance and integrity. It's crucial to thoroughly inspect for these issues. We offer an inspection service during our quotation process to ensure your floors remain in prime condition.
